Unaccompanied Minor (UMNR) is a service provided to under-age children travelling alone.
If a passenger (aged 5 up to 12) is going to travel on his/her own, please contact our booking office to reserve a seat and arrange the UMNR service.
Your child will be accompanied by our staff throughout his journey: both at the departure and arrival airports.
To children aged 5 up to 12 years regular air fare is applied (child and student fares are not applicable). In this case the UMNR service is provided free of charge.
Documents: Ticket Issued under Adult Fair UMNR blank, which will be filled at airport by representative of air company (The form is to be completed by the child’s parents or legal guardian). For a child aged 12 to 18 regular fare ticket shall be available (student fare is not applicable). In this case the UMNR service is not provided. Aircompany don’t have any requirements (In this case from airport border guard you should check out information connected with “Power of attorney for minors”). Upon arrival to the destination airport our staff will accompany your child throughout all border formalities and arrival process and will release your child to the care of the nominated person or transferring airline staff. When applying for UMNR service, please provide our staff with child's passport data and citizenship. Please, contact our airport representative at check-in to complete the declaration form, stating the person to collect your child at the destination airport. After check-in our staff will accompany your child to the aircraft, where our cabin crew will take care of your child throughout the whole flight.
Please, do not leave the airport before the aircraft departs. Upon arrival to the destination airport our staff will accompany your child throughout all border formalities and arrival process and will release your child to the care of the nominated person. We will only release your child to the care of your nominated person or transferring airline staff. The person to collect your child at the destination airport must have a valid identification document to show our staff. In case your nominated person doesn't arrive to the destination airport to collect your child for any reason, for safety reasons we'll transfer the child back to the departure airport. In this case you'll have to pay all the additional costs including ticket, meal, accommodation etc.
The amount of free baggage depends on the class of service, route and is stated on your ticket.
According to the flight safety requirements, we do not recommend to pack in check in baggage (including cabin luggage) money, jewelry, computers, documents, passports etc. Everything, mentioned above should be carried in cabin luggage. Passenger’s check in baggage, which is carried under the responsibility of the Airline, is being labeled and transported in the baggage compartment of the aircraft.
The size of the registered baggage should not exceed 158 cm in sum of three dimensions.
We suggest placing a label with your name, address, and phone number on each piece of luggage.
We recommend that you keep your baggage tag until you get back your luggage upon arrival at the destination airport. Luggage tags are required in case of delayed or lost baggage.
SIZES OF CHECKED HAND LUGGAGE should not exceed 55*40*20cm & should be one piece.
Free baggage allowance is based on weight concept or piece concept depending on destination.

What to do if your baggage has not arrived:
If your baggage has not arrived, please contact the baggage tracing service personnel before exiting the arrivals area and fill out the special form. If you have questions about baggage tracing or you want to make changes (corrections) to the submitted form, please call the number shown on the baggage non-arrival report (PIR). Please note:
Please hold onto your flight documents, especially the boarding pass and the baggage tag.

Tracing time in the event of baggage non-arrival.
In the event of non-arrival, baggage will be traced for 45 days from the date of receipt of the passenger’s statement. If it is not found within 45 days, the passenger may submit a written claim to the carrier. Payment of financial compensation and the amount thereof is subject to the provisions of “Armenia Airways” the and international conventions.
