Unaccompanied Children (UMNR Service)

Armenia Airways offers a dedicated Unaccompanied Minor (UMNR) service to ensure the safe and comfortable travel of children flying alone.

Eligibility

The UMNR service is mandatory for children aged 5 to 14 traveling without an adult.
For children aged 14 to 18, the UMNR service is optional. However, it is advisable to check with airport border control regarding any required Power of Attorney for Minors.

How the Service Works

When you book the UMNR service:

Your child will be assisted by trained Armenia Airways staff at both the departure and arrival airports.
A dedicated airline representative will escort your child through check-in, security, boarding, and handover to the cabin crew.
Upon arrival, our staff will support your child through immigration and release them only to the designated guardian.

Fare & Fees

Children aged 5 to 12 qualify for child fare tickets. In addition, the following UMNR service fees apply:

Required Documents

At the airport:

A UMNR declaration form must be completed by a parent or legal guardian.
Parents must provide:
- The child’s passport and citizenship details
- Full information of the person receiving the child at the destination
- Valid identification of the nominated person.

Arrival Procedures

Upon arrival, our ground staff will:
- Accompany your child through border and customs formalities
- Ensure safe handover to the nominated guardian or airline personnel
The receiving person must present a valid ID to confirm their identity.

Important Notes

Do not leave the airport until the aircraft has departed.
If the designated guardian fails to arrive, Armenia Airways will return the child to the departure airport for safety.
- All related costs (return ticket, meals, accommodation, etc.) will be the responsibility of the parent or guardian.
